Minutes Faulkner County Amateur Radio Club (FCARC) December 9, 2008
Meeting was called to order by President Frankie Parks K5FRP at 6:31pm

New Business:
1st annual Christmas Dinner
This was more of a social event than an actual club meeting. We had our 1st annual Christmas Dinner. A special thanks to all those that helped to decorate and set up. A very special thanks to George (N5GC) for arranging this dinner and getting a couple of door prizes as well. The food was very good, and getting to meet everyone's families was a nice evening out.
Officer Elections
Officer elections were held as part of a shortened meeting. The following have been elected as the 2009 FCARC Officers.
Glenn King (N5GK) -- Custodian
Wayne Johnston (KD4TA) -- Secretary/Treasurer
George Carroll (N5GC) -- Vice President
Frankie Parks (K5FRP) -- President
Glenn did get to blow his train whistle to offically railroad these officers into office. :-)
Recognition
Frankie also handed out some recognition certificates received from the CAREN Club for volunteers in some of the events that were worked over the past year. Those recognized were George Carroll, Perry Carlton, and Frankie Parks. More certificates should be coming.
