Governer Mike Beebe's Amateur Radio Week Proclamation

Stewart Nelson brought two copies of the signed proclamation by Governer Mike Beebe declaring the week of June 23 - 29, 2008 as Amateur Radio Week in Arkansas. The certificate was passed around for all to see, and an electronic copy can be found on the club's web-site at http://www.w5auu.org/

New Club Treasurer Needed

Frankie opened the floor for nominations for a new club treasurer. He stated the some club financial matters needed immediate attention and was looking for either volunteers or nominations. (None were given.) Frankie then stated that if no nominations were given, that the officers of the club would work to appoint a new secretary/treasurer. Only those willing to fullfil the duties will be considered.

Personal Note: (Frankie Speaking) I realize that this has been a shock to everyone, and that Craig will be deeply missed. His enthusiasm and love for this club will be impossible to replace, but he would want us to move on and keep the club thriving and growing. That being said, if you know of a good candidate, or would like to be considered for the office of secretary/treasurer please let me know ASAP.

Field Day 2008 (Faulkner Co. Court House Lawn)

Wayne Johnston took the floor to finalize field day plans. He asked for generators, station captians, etc. The following was decided or volunteered.
