Call to Order
President, Chester Robinson, called the meeting to order at 18:27.

Old Business
Hospital Update
No Update. Laura is studying for her General's test.
DB224 Antenna Status
No Update.
MEMS / Hospital Exercise
No Update. Still have a HIPPA conflict.
Toad Suck Daze Certificates
Glenn King reported that 18 certificates have been mailed out so far and that there is probably about the same amount to still mail out. Glenn designed this year's certificate and did a great job on it. Ken Chafin gave Craig Mangrum several QSL cards that were received from the stations that made contact with us. Craig passed them around and will keep up with them.
Members' Only Section on Club Website
Frankie is still working on the members' only section of the club's website.
Gerald's Tower and Repeater Status
Gerald Hogue has his new tower in his back yard. He is still waiting on some work the welders have to do before he can put it up.
Also, Gerald's repeater, 146.625, is still down. Glenn was planning to go and get the repeater from the repeater site this week.
Field Day 2006
Field Day 2006 has come and gone. The club worked 245 stations this year. Frankie Parks said we had about 400 bonus points. There were three city representatives that showed up, the police chief, fire chief, and the head of ADEM. We also had a display booth that Wayne Johnston had prepared and did a great job on. Our internet service was provided by The Computer Works.
Wayne did a great job getting everything organized and planned out. Everyone really appreciates his hard work.
Deadmen
Glenn isn't sure when the deadmen will be ready to go in for the repeater. He will schedule a workday when he is sure. He also said it is too hot to do it right now.
New Business
VE's for Governor's School Testing, July 15th
Glenn King said that the club has been asked to help again this year with a testing at the Governor's School at Hendrix University on Saturday, July 15th at 1 p.m. There are about 12-20 students expected to test. Glenn said there were enough VE's, but that anyone that wanted to come and help was welcome to do so.
Bird Flu Vaccine
Glenn stated that a list of the first responder organizations that will receive the bird flu vaccination when it becomes available. He said that amateur radio operators were on the list although he didn't know where we would rank. This will cover the amateur operator and their family / household members. When the vaccine becomes available, the Health Department will contact ADEM.
Upcoming Events
Glenn spoke about some of the upcoming events that the club will be participating in. The Simulated Emergency Test (SET) will be the 1st or 2nd weekend in October. This year's scenario will be an earth quake with Central Arkansas being affected. The next DEC meeting will be on October the 8th.
Also the Fair Parade will be September 19th. The parade committee's first meeting will be the first week of August.
Kelly Boswell made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Ken Chafin. Meeting adjourned at 18:50.
2-Meter Net Reminder
The FCARC net meets each Thursday night at 7:30pm on 145.210MHz PL 114.8Hz. The Net Control Operator for July is Frankie Parks, K5FRP.
Don't forget about lunches at Smitty's BBQ on Fridays at around 11:00 am till we leave.
