Toad Suck Daze Special Event Station Update
The Toad Suck Daze Special Event Station is coming up April 30th . It will be at the MEMS building at 1006 Garland St. in Conway. The frequencies being used for this will be 21.350, 14.260, and 7.260. It will run from 9am - 4pm with setup and take down an hour before and after. But it was agreed that we needed to run the antenna the day before to make sure it would work. A sign up sheet was passed around at the meeting. There is still a 3pm slot that is open. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Frankie Parks. We will also use 145.210- pl 114.8 as the talk in frequency for those that don't know where MEMS is located.
Field Day 2005 Update
Field Day 2005 Update
Some discussion about the upcoming field day event took place. Field Day is June 25-26 this year. The location is still up in the air. After reading the minutes again from last month, there is a question as to whether or not we can use ADEM again this year. They maybe in the process of moving the facility to the new location.
MEMS has offered to let us use their facilities to do the event. There was some question about what classification we would have operating at an emergency facility.
There was also some discussion about a banner for the event. It was mentioned that the club once had a banner stored at ADEM. Craig will get with Glenn King to see if he knows it's whereabouts. But it was decided that we needed to check on a new banner, too. Chester was going to check with Just T's N and Craig would check with a place located across from the older Wal-Mart Super Center. They will also will see about getting one donated or discounted since the club is a non-profit club.
